About Ewelia
Ewelia’ has travelled far from her home, which is now a war-torn country. However, she looks forward to a happier time when the fields are once more bursting with sunflowers, and chamomile grows wild underfoot. Sunflowers are a source of great pride for Ewelia as they are both a major source of income in her homeland and a magnet for bees, which love the nectar.
Karen Hollis has a passion for nature and light and her paintings aim to capture the way sunlight falls across petals, creating shapes and patterns that reflect the flower’s unique energy.
